The Graham Webb International Academy of Hair Aesthetics training programs, conducted at our state-of-the-industry aesthetics training facility, helps provide you with the knowledge and skills required to thrive as an aesthetician. And it's available through flexible schedule options to suit your lifestyle.

The aesthetics training programs are also designed to help you meet and exceed the aesthetic license requirements in the State of Virginia. In fact, Graham Webb International Academy of Hair offers two programs to complement the state of Virginia's new two-tier system: Aesthetician (600 hours) and Master Aesthetician (600 hours). Additionally, we offer advanced workshops for licensed aestheticians on weekends.

Basic Aesthetician Program

This 600-hour program uses theory instruction, practical exercises, and clinic experiences to help give students a solid foundation in the basic concepts of aesthetics. Along with aesthetic concepts and basic skills, students learn the regulations associated with the aesthetics industry. In this program, you will learn the following procedures:                     

  • Manual facials
  • Machine facials
  • Makeup
  • Waxing
  • Body wraps
  • Body treatments (mud wrap, paraffin, exfoliation)
  • Galvanic current facials
  • High-frequency facials
  • Skin diagnosis
  • Special occasion makeup

Master Program

Master Aesthetician Program

Prerequisite: 600-hour Aesthetician program or a 600-hour license from another state.

This 600-hour program builds on our Aesthetician program and uses theory instruction, practical exercises, and clinic experiences to give students a solid foundation in advanced aesthetics principles and practices. Along with aesthetic concepts and advanced skills, students learn the regulations associated with the aesthetics industry. In this program, you will learn the following procedures:

  • Manual Facials
  • Microdermabrasion
  • Salon management
  • Principles of Medical Professional Interaction
  • Lymph drainage manual/machine
  • Skin treatments using advanced mechanical and electrical devices
  • Chemical exfoliation
